SAN DIEGO (12/18/11) – The San Diego Chargers kept their playoff hopes alive by defeating the Baltimore Ravens 34-14 on Sunday Night Football.
Philip Rivers threw for 270 yards and a touchdown and Ryan Mathews added 90 yards and two scores on the ground to pace the Chargers, who improved to 7-7 on the season – a game behind AFC West leaders Denver.
The Ravens fell to 10-4 and await the result of Monday night’s Pittsburgh-San Francisco game to find out where they’ll land in the playoff picture heading into Week 16.
