OMAHA, NE – Kansas trailed almost the entire game but managed to rally in the final minute of regulation behind Elijah Johnson to beat 10th-seeded Purdue, 63-60 on Sunday.
The Jayhawks were led by Johnson, who scored 18 points and had the go-ahead basket with 23 seconds remaining. Thomas Robinson scored 11 points and had 13 rebounds for Kansas.
Robbie Hummel finished with 26 points for the Boilermakers.
Kansas will play North Carolina State in the Midwest Regional semifinals.
