OMAHA, NE – A penny for your thoughts, Missouri Tigers?
After two days celebrating an historic upset of 2nd-seeded Missouri – perhaps a little too much – Norfolk State came crashing back to reality after being obliterated by Florida, 84-50.
Kenny Boynton led Florida with 20 points and 8rebounds, as five Gators scored in double-figures overall. Marcos Tamares was the only Spartan to crack double-figures, with 12 points, as Norfolk State shot a woeful 18-for-66 (27.3%) from the field. Florida will meet 3rd-seeded Marquette in the Sweet 16.
Kevin Kugler and Tom Brennan called the action on the Westwood One Radio Network.
