Countdown to London: Sprinter Wallace Spearmon

If the U.S. is going to take the title of world’s fastest man away from Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt, one hope is Wallace Spearmon.

The Chicago native was poised to capture the bronze medal in the 200 meters at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, but was disqualified for stepping out of his lane. He’ll be looking to redeem himself in London.

Highlights: Russians dominate women’s figure skating

As everyone predicted, the women’s figure skating competition in PyeongChang came down to a pair of Russians: 15-year-old Alina Zagitova and 18-year-old Evgenia Medvedeva.
