PGA Championship Round Three: Rory tied for lead headed into long Sunday

08/11/2012

KIAWAH ISLAND, SC — Rain stopped Saturday’s third round of the PGA Championship at The Ocean Course, but not before Rory McIlroy fired a front-nine 32 to move into a share of the lead.

The Irishman is five-under through 9 holes – even with Vijay Singh, who is through 7 holes.

The 26 golfers who haven’t yet finished their third rounds will begin again on Sunday at 7:45 AM Eastern.

After the third round is complete, the course will be re-configured and ready for the final round by 11:44 AM, when groups of three will go off of the first and tenth tees simultaneously.
