Track and Field: Relay golds for Jamaica, U.S.

LONDON – Usain Bolt and the Jamaican 4 x 100 relay team did it again, dropping their world record another two-tenths of a second in winning gold in London.

The Jamaicans finished the race in 36.84 with the Americans finishing second in 37.04 – the same time as the Jamaicans previous world record.

In the women’s 4×400 relay, the American team did one spot better. The U.S. women captured gold in 3:16.87 – better than three seconds faster than second-place Russia. Jamaica finished third. The triumph gave Allyson Felix her third gold of these Games.

Highlights: Russians dominate women’s figure skating

As everyone predicted, the women’s figure skating competition in PyeongChang came down to a pair of Russians: 15-year-old Alina Zagitova and 18-year-old Evgenia Medvedeva.
