Is it possible that 6th-ranked Oklahoma is flying under the radar?
Bob Stoops’ Sooners are perennial BCS championship candidates, but with the SEC dominating for so many years now, it seems in 2012 the men from Norman are not making a lot of headlines nationally.
That could all change this weekend, however, as OU welcomes Kansas State to town for a showdown in the Big 12 opener for both teams. The Sooners and Wildcats are both unbeaten, but you could argue they are both untested as well. Oklahoma got its season off to a 2-0 start against UTEP and Florida A&M, while K-State has yet to play outside of Manhattan, Kansas – where they’ve blown out Missouri State, Miami and North Texas.
Ahead of the game, Stoops spoke with NCAA Football Insider host Chuck Cooperstein.
