BLACKSBURG, VA – Virginia Tech downed Georgia Tech in overtime 20-17 in a thrilling ACC contest on Monday night.
The Yellow Jackets took the lead with a touchdown with just 44 seconds to play, but Logan Thomas drove the Hokies down the field to set up Cody Journell’s game-tying field goal as time expired.
In overtime, Virginia Tech intercepted Georgia Tech’s Tevin Washington before Journell hit a game-winning 17-yarder.
