GREEN BAY — In a tough defensive battle Thursday night at Lambeau Field, it was a special teams play that blew the game open and led to a 23-10 Packers win.
Leading 3-0 late in the 2nd quarter, Green Bay executed a perfect fake field goal, with punter Tim Masthay’s shovel pass hitting backup tight end Tom Crabtree who outran the scrambling Bears defense for a 27-yard touchdown.
The Packers defense clamped down on Jay Cutler and the Chicago offense, sacking the quarterback 7 times and forcing bad throws that led to four interceptions.
Ian Eagle and Trent Green called the action on Westwood One Sports.
