It’s halfway through November and the Heisman race is wide open. Each of the top four teams that remain undefeated boast a candidate whose credentials could earn him college football’s most coveted prize.
For top-ranked Alabama, AJ McCarron showed a flash of greatness in leading his team to a come-from-behind win over LSU. Collin Klein of Kansas State has been on everyone’s radar for weeks, while Manti Te’o of Notre Dame is a legitimate threat to win the Heisman as a defensive player. Add in Oregon’s Kenjon Barner, who scored five touchdowns and rushed for over 300 yards last week, and you’ve got quite a crowded field.
