BATON ROUGE, LA – AJ McCarron hit T.J. Yeldon on a screen pass and Yeldon did the rest, sprinting 28 yards for a go-ahead touchdown with less than a minute left as #1 Alabama survived a scare from LSU in a 21-17 win.
LSU led 17-14 after Zach Mettenberger connected with Jarvis Landry early in the fourth quarter. But, after a missed Tigers field goal, McCarron drove the Crimson Tide 72 yards in five plays for the game-winning touchdown.
John Tautges and Terry Donahue called the action on Westwood One Sports.
