SAN FRANCISCO – The 49ers and the Rams played out the first tie in the NFL in nearly four years on Sunday afternoon, as the teams ended overtime deadlocked at 24-24.
Both teams had chances to win the game in the extra period. First, David Akers missed a 41-yarder that would’ve given the Niners the victory. Then Greg Zuerlein connected on a 53-yarder only to see it negated by a delay of game penalty. He would miss the 58-yard attempt that followed.
Kevin Kugler and Mark Malone called the action on Westwood One Sports.
