DENVER – Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos inched a step closer to a first-round bye in the AFC with a 34-12 win Sunday over the Cleveland Browns.
Manning threw for 339 yards and three touchdowns as the Broncos improved to 12-3. With a win next week over Kansas City, Denver will be guaranteed a first-round bye and could earn home-field advantage in the AFC playoffs if results go their way.
Cleveland dropped to 5-10 on the season, but did get a bit of good news as Trent Richardson passed Jim Brown to set the Browns’ record for rushing yards by a rookie.
Sam Rosen and Mark Malone called the action on Westwood One Sports.
