MINNEAPOLIS – Adrian Peterson rushed for 199 yards and scored two touchdowns as the Minnesota Vikings beat the Green Bay Packers 37-34 to earn a Wild Card berth in the NFC.
Peterson finished the season with 2,097 yards, just eight yards short of tying Eric Dickerson’s single-season rushing record of 2,105.
The Vikings’ win sets up a rematch between the teams next Saturday night at Lambeau Field, as Green Bay’s loss meant it missed out on a first-round bye.
Kevin Kugler and Mark Malone called the action on Westwood One Sports.
