Week 16 NFL Picks

12/22/2012

Well, well, well. Things are tightening up all of a sudden at the top of our leaderboard. After taking the lead in Week 6 and stretching it out with a perfect 13-0 mark in Week 7, Mark Malone has been atop the standings, but his breathing room has disappeared after Week 15’s results, with Boomer Esiason and Trent Green right on his heels.

Through 15 weeks, here is how our guys stack up:

  1. Mark Malone, 147-77 (.656), —
  2. Boomer Esiason, 146-78 (.652), 1 GB
  3. Trent Green, 145-79 (.647), 2 GB
  4. James Lofton, 139-85 (.621), 8 GB
  5. Tony Boselli, 133-91 (.594), 14 GB

So who are they backing this week? There’s good news below for fans of the Bears, as everyone has a Chicago win paired with a Minnesota loss to Houston, which would help Chicago’s postseason hopes. In other action, only Mark Malone sees the Steelers defending their home turf and keeping Cincinnati from a return trip to the playoffs. And in the big Sunday Night Football showdown in Seattle, only James Lofton is putting his faith in the 49ers to win for a second straight week under the lights on the road.
