ATLANTA – For the first time in 18 years, the San Francisco 49ers are heading to the Super Bowl.
The Niners rallied from a 17-0 deficit to down the Atlanta Falcons 28-24 in the NFC Championship Game on Sunday at the Georgia Dome.
After trailing 24-14 at halftime, San Francisco’s defense shut out Atlanta in the second half and won the game on two Frank Gore touchdown runs.
