SAN FRANCISCO – Colin Kaepernick rushed for 183 yards and two touchdowns and threw for 263 yards and two more scores as the San Francisco 49ers advanced to the NFC Championship Game for the second straight year with a 45-31 victory over Green Bay on Saturday night.
Kaepernick started slowly, with Sam Shields returning an early interception 52 yards for a touchdown to put the Packers ahead 7-0. But after that setback, Kaepernick turned it all around and in some fashion.
The 49ers racked up 579 yards of total offense – including 323 yards rushing.
San Francisco advances to play the winner of Sunday’s Seattle-Atlanta game.
