For the Florida Gators, one NCAA title wasn’t enough. After cutting down the nets in 2006, the five Florida starters returned to school for a chance to repeat their feat.
12 months later the defending champion Gators were champions again, defeating Greg Oden’s Ohio State team in the championship game at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta by a final score of 84-75.
Corey Brewer was named the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player, a year after his teammate Joakim Noah earned the same honor.
