ARLINGTON, TX – Trey Burke’s game-tying, three-point bomb to send Michigan’s Regional Semifinal game against Kansas into overtime is already one of the biggest shots in program history. If the Wolverines can capture their second National Championship on April 8th, it may become THE biggest.
Burke’s 23-point, 10-assist helped lead the 4th-seeded Wolverines to the Elite Eight for the first time since 1994, with an 87-85 overtime victory over top-seeded Kansas on Friday night. Michigan completed a stunning comeback from as many as 14 points down late in the second half.
Head coach John Beilein is now one victory away from sending Michigan to the Final Four for the first time since going in back-to-back years in 1992 and 1993. The Maize-and-Blue will look to take down 3rd-seeded Florida at Cowboys Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Fran Fraschilla caught up with Coach Beilein ahead of the game, while Brad Sham sat down with Trey Burke.
