BROOKLYN, NY – For the third straight season, the Blackbirds will be dancing as LIU-Brooklyn clinched its third straight NEC Tournament title with a 91-70 victory over Mount St. Mary’s on Tuesday night.
C.J. Garner filled it up for LIU, scoring 13 points on 13 of 17 shooting in the victory. Jamal Olasewere added a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds.
With the win, LIU-Brooklyn became the first team in NEC history to win three straight tournament titles.
