NEW ORLEANS, LA – Geno Auriemma’s Connecticut Huskies have been on this stage before many times, but the feeling never gets old.
Connecticut overcame a tough Notre Dame squad Sunday night that had beaten the Huskies three times earlier this season, and sent them out of the tournament in the national semifinals the past two years. They’ll face fifth-seeded Louisville, who advanced after beating second-seeded California earlier on Sunday.
Ahead of the championship game, Krista Blunk spoke with Auriemma and talked about returning to the biggest stage in women’s college basketball.
