AUGUSTA, GA – Adam Scott rolled in a birdie putt on the second playoff hole to top 2009 Masters champion Angel Cabrera and win the 2013 Masters, becoming the first Australian to win a green jacket.
Scott fired a final-round 69 to finish at nine-under for the tournament, sinking a birdie putt at 18 that seemingly locked up the title. But playing one group behind, Cabrera stuck it close on the final hole and knocked in a birdie of his own to force a playoff.
Cabrera had triumphed in a three-man playoff four years ago, but this time Scott got the better of him when he knocked in his birdie put on the 10th hole.
