ROCHESTER, NY – Jim Furyk shot a 68 on Saturday and is 18 holes away from winning his second major – a decade after capturing the 2003 U.S. Open.
Furyk nailed a birdie putt at the 17th before saving par with a putt at 18 after a bad drive had put him in the rough. Furyk is -9 through three rounds at Oak Hill.
A day after shooting 63, Jason Dufner battled to a one-over 71 on Saturday and sits a shot back heading into Sunday’s final round.
Henrik Stenson (-7) and Jonas Blixt (-6) – both of Sweden – will play in the second-to-last group on Sunday.
Masters champion Adam Scott (-5) and last year’s PGA winner, Rory McIlroy (-3), are also in the mix.
Here’s reaction from after the third round in Rochester.
