ROCHESTER, NY – Jason Dufner is a major champion after carding a two-under 68 on Sunday to best Jim Furyk by two shots in the PGA Championship at Oak Hill.
Dufner, whose victory comes just two years after he failed to hold onto a late lead in the 2011 PGA, finished at ten-under for the Championship – thanks in large part to his record-tying 63 in Friday’s second round.
Swedes Henrik Stenson and Jonas Blixt finished third and fourth – just as they’d started the day. Scott Piercy had the round of the day, carding a 65 to move all the way from 21st into a tie for 5th with Adam Scott.
Tiger Woods finished at +4, while British Open champ Phil Mickelson finished +12 after failing to shoot par in any of his four rounds.
