ATHENS, GA – Aaron Murray threw for 309 yards and four touchdowns as Georgia rebounded from a season-opening loss to Clemson with a 41-30 victory over SEC rivals South Carolina.
The big play of the day was Murray’s 85-yard strike to Justin Scott-Wesley early in the 4th quarter that put the Bulldogs up 41-30. Todd Gurley also scored a pair of touchdowns, with 132 yards rushing and a TD on the ground as well as a touchdown reception.
South Carolina had a chance to make it a one-possession game midway through the 4th quarter, but the Georgia defense stopped the Gamecocks on 4th down from inside the one-yard line.
