CINCINNATI – In a game in which each team turned the ball over four times, the Cincinnati Bengals got the final and most important takeaway when the defense forced a Green Bay fumble and returned it for the go-ahead touchdown late in the fourth quarter.
Rookie running back Johnathan Franklin was hit in the backfield, Bengals safety Reggie Nelson scooped up the fumble but then fumbled himself when he was hit. Cornerback Terence Newman picked up the loose ball and raced 58 yards to the end zone for the go-ahead score.
Tom Franklin and Mark Malone called the action on WestwoodOne Sports.
