This week’s AutoZone “In the Zone” Player of the Week for college football is Jameis Winston.
Florida State’s redshirt freshman quarterback did it all in his team’s 51-14 beatdown of Clemson on Saturday night. Winston threw for 444 yards and three touchdowns and added a short TD run as well in the victory, which vaulted the Seminoles to #2 in the first BCS rankings of the season.
Honorable mention this week goes to Michigan wide receiver Jeremy Gallon, who set a Big Ten record with 369 receiving yards in a wild, 63-47 win over Indiana.
Jameis Winston was definitely “In the Zone” and he’s our AutoZone College Football Player of the Week.
