INDIANAPOLIS – The Indianapolis Colts made sure Peyton Manning’s return to Lucas Oil Stadium wasn’t a winning one, handing the Denver Broncos their first loss of the season 39-33 on Sunday Night Football.
Manning threw for three more touchdowns – bringing his season total to 25 – but he was also intercepted and lost a fumble that resulted in an Indianapolis safety.
The man who replaced Manning under center for the Colts, Andrew Luck, was 21 of 38 for 228 yards and three touchdowns of his own, while also notching another score on the ground. Indianapolis improved to 5-2 on the year and have a two-game lead in the AFC South.
Kevin Kugler and James Lofton called the action on WestwoodOne Sports.
