DALLAS – Guard Kenny Chery led a balanced attack that saw four players score in double figures as defending NIT champion Baylor knocked off Colorado 72-60 in the opener for both teams.
Chery scored 14 points, Cory Jefferson had 13, Brady Heslip added 12 and Taurean Prince scored 10 for the Bears. Colorado, which shot just 33% from the field, was led by Josh Scott’s 15 points and 11 rebounds.
