DENVER – Peyton Manning is taking the Denver Broncos back to the Super Bowl thanks to a 26-16 win over New England on Sunday at Sports Authority Field. It’s the franchise’s first trip to the big game since John Elway won the second of back-to-back Super Bowls before retiring 15 years ago.
Manning threw for 400 yards and a pair of touchdown passes as the Broncos built a 23-3 lead early in the fourth quarter. Tom Brady tried to rally the Patriots, but two late touchdowns were just that: too late and too little.
Kevin Harlan and Dan Fouts called the action on WestwoodOne Sports.
