Countdown to Sochi: Nordic-combined skier Bill Demong

Bill DemongAmerican Bill Demong will be competing in his fifth straight Olympic Winter Games next month in Sochi and he’ll be looking to follow up his gold medal from the 2010 Vancouver games, which he won in the men’s large hill Nordic-combined.

Prior to Vancouver, the United States had won only two medals all-time in Nordic events – they doubled that figure in the last Olympics alone.

Highlights: Russians dominate women’s figure skating

As everyone predicted, the women’s figure skating competition in PyeongChang came down to a pair of Russians: 15-year-old Alina Zagitova and 18-year-old Evgenia Medvedeva.
