Countdown to Sochi: Team USA’s Hilary Knight

Hilary KnightIf Team USA is going to win the women’s ice hockey gold medal that has eluded them since the 1998 Nagano Games, chances are two things need to happen: they’ll have to beat Canada and get a big tournament from young star Hilary Knight.

The University of Wisconsin graduate led the NCAA with 45 goals in 2009 and helped Team USA to a silver medal four years ago in Vancouver. But like the rest of her teammates, she’s looking to go one step higher on the podium in Sochi.

Highlights: Russians dominate women’s figure skating

As everyone predicted, the women’s figure skating competition in PyeongChang came down to a pair of Russians: 15-year-old Alina Zagitova and 18-year-old Evgenia Medvedeva.
