ROSEMONT, IL – Brittany Hrynko led a balanced attack as DePaul captured its first Big East Tournament championship in school history with a 65-57 win over St. John’s on Tuesday night.
Hrynko led all scorers with 15 points and also grabbed eight rebounds and dished out six assists.
Jasmine Penny was named the tournament’s most outstanding player. She scored 11 points on the night.
