MEMPHIS, TN – For the first time in 30 years, the Dayton Flyers are into the Sweet 16 – and the route they took to get there was a sweet one in and of itself, taking down in-state rivals Ohio State in the second round before beating Syracuse in front of a largely pro-Orange crowd in Buffalo.
On Thursday, they’ll take on 10th-seeded Stanford for a shot to play for a trip to the Final Four. Of course, there’s another storyline brewing as well – that’s the fact that head coach Archie Miller and his brother Sean, the head coach of Arizona, are the first brothers to coach in the same tournament. Now, they’ve both reached the Sweet 16.
Gary Cohen caught up with Archie ahead of the game with the Cardinal.
