Second Round Highlights: (3) Creighton 76 – (14) Louisiana-Lafayette 66


Doug McDermott, Kevin BrownSAN ANTONIO, TX – Louisiana-Lafayette hung tough, but Doug McDermott and third-seeded Creighton pulled away late as the Bluejays advanced to the third round with a 76-66 victory on Friday afternoon.

McDermott had 30 points and 12 rebounds to lead the way for Creighton. Elfrid Payton paced the Ragin’ Cajuns with 24 points, eight rebounds, three assists, three steals and two blocks.

Creighton moves on to face Baylor on Sunday.
