Second Round Highlights: (8) Kentucky 56 – (9) Kansas State 49

Kansas State - KentuckySAINT LOUIS, MO – In a defensive battle where scoring was hard to come by all game long, the Wildcats of Kentucky held on to outlast their mutual mascot counterparts of Kansas State 56 – 49.

Julius Randle was the standout for Kentucky, scoring 19 points and pulling down 15 boards.  Aaron Harrison added 18 points for John Calipari’s squad.

Marcus Foster led the way for Kansas State with 15 points, despite a rough night from the perimeter.

Kentucky moves on to face top-seeded Wichita State on Sunday in a Third Round Midwest Regional contest.
