SAN ANTONIO, TX – Baylor shot a blistering 64% from the field in defeating Creighton 85-55 to advance to the Sweet 16.
The Bears led 40-20 at halftime and never looked back. All five starters scored in double figures, with Brady Heslip and Isaiah Austin leading the way with 17 apiece.
The loss ended the fantastic career of Doug McDermott, who finished with 15 points to remain fifth on the Division I men’s basketball scoring chart with 3,150 points in four years as a Bluejay.
Baylor will face Wisconsin in Anaheim on Thursday.
