NEW YORK, NY – Markus Kennedy scored 21 points and grabbed 9 rebounds as SMU advanced to the NIT championship game with a 65-59 victory over Clemson at Madison Square Garden.
The Mustangs trailed by 12 at the half, but outscored the Tigers by 18 after the break to advace to Thursday’s title tilt against Minnesota.
