ARLINGTON, TX -They might be a #2 seed, but it sure seems like Wisconsin is a party crasher at this year’s Final Four.
In a way, it makes sense: the Badgers find themselves in just the school’s second Final Four of the modern era, while Florida won back-to-back championships in 2006 and 2007, Connecticut cut down the nets just three years ago and Kentucky is… well, Kentucky.
On the other hand, the Wisconsin program has made the tournament every one of Bo Ryan’s 13 years and was near the top of the tough Big Ten throughout the year with a veteran lineup capable of beating anyone – just ask top-seeded Arizona.
Kevin Kugler caught up with sophomore forward Sam Dekker, who averages more than 12 points a game, ahead of his team’s contest with Kentucky.
