BALTIMORE, MD – Matt Kavanaugh scored five goals as Notre Dame rolled to an 11-6 semifinal win over Maryland on Saturday at M&T Bank Stadium.
Notre Dame led 6-4 at the half before pulling away in the third quarter. It was 10-5 heading into the final frame and the Irish played defense and killed clock to put the Terps away.
Notre Dame and Duke will face off for the national championship in a rematch of the 2010 final, when the Blue Devils beat the Irish 6-5 in overtime.
