OMAHA, NE – The TCU Horned Frogs jumped to an early 1-0 lead in what became a pitchers duel through seven innings. But things changed in the eighth as Texas Tech took a 2-1 lead on 3 hits and a TCU error. In the bottom of the eighth, TCU answered the charge by duplicating the effort of two runs on three hits. They also benefited by a Red Raider error in the bottom of the inning.
TCU closer Riley Ferrell found himself in trouble again in the ninth, but the Horned Frogs endured and closed the game out for a 3-2 win.
