ARLINGTON, TX – Starting his first game in nearly three years, Colt McCoy returned to Texas and led the Washington Redskins to a 20-17 overtime victory over the Dallas Cowboys.
Forced in to action thanks to injuries to Robert Griffin III and Kirk Cousins, the former University of Texas quarterback completed 25 of 30 passes for 299 yards. He also scrambled for a go-ahead score early in the fourth quarter.
Tony Romo was injured in the third quarter, but Brandon Weeden entered the game and connected with Jason Witten on a game-tying TD pass. Romo would return for the final series of regulation and the Cowboys only possession of overtime.
Kevin Harlan and Kurt Warner called the action on Westwood One.
