SAN DIEGO – Cairo Santos’ 48-yard field goal with :21 left in the fourth quarter gave the Kansas City Chiefs a 23-20 victory over San Diego on Sunday, snapping the Chargers’ five-game winning streak.
Jamaal Charles had 95 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries and Alex Smith contributed his normal mistake-free performance. Smith was 19 of 28 for 221 yards and a touchdown and also picked up 29 yards rushing on six attempts.
Kansas City improved to 3-3 on the year, while San Diego dropped to 5-2.
