PHILADELPHIA – The Philadelphia Eagles scored on offense, defense and special teams in a 45-21 rout of the Carolina Panthers on Monday Night Football.
Mark Sanchez completed 20 of 37 passes for 332 yards and a pair of touchdowns to Jordan Matthews in his debut as the Eagles starting quarterback after Nick Foles was injured in last week’s game.
Darren Sproles also had two touchdowns, one on an eight-yard TD run and the other on a 65-yard punt return that opened the floodgates.
Bradley Fletcher’s interception return for a touchdown gave Philadelphia a 31-7 halftime lead and the Eagles never looked back.
Kevin Harlan and Boomer Esiason called the action on Westwood One.
