In honor of Veterans Day, our Monday Night Football broadcast of the Carolina Panthers at Philadelphia Eagles game will air its live pregame and halftime shows from aboard the brand new naval ship USS America, stationed in San Diego Harbor.
Pregame and halftime host Jim Gray will be joined onboard the ship by Pro Football Hall of Famer Eric Dickerson. In addition, the broadcast will feature Monday Night Football weekly contributors Tom Brady and Larry Fitzgerald. Brady, Fitzgerald and Dickerson will field football questions from the sailors during the broadcast.
Pregame coverage begins at 7:45 pm ET. Kevin Harlan and Boomer Esiason will call all the game action from Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.
As always, you can listen to Monday Night Football on Westwood One via NFL Audio Pass on NFL.com or the NFL Mobile app, SiriusXM Satellite Radio (Sirius 88 / XM 88) or on a Westwood One affiliate radio station near you.
USS America
USS America is the fourth ship to bear our nation’s name. Her predecessors include a 74-gun ship of the line constructed for the continental Navy, a World War I troop ship and a Vietnam-era aircraft carrier.
USS America is the first of a new class of amphibious assault ships. Her mission will be to embark, transport, control, insert, sustain and extract elements of a marine air-ground task force, and support forces by helicopters and tilt-rotor aircraft.
USS America is 844 feet in length, 106 feet wide and sits 26 feet deep in the ocean. Fully loaded, it weighs 45,700 metric tons. The ship was commissioned one month ago, on October 11th, and is home-ported in San Diego.
