SANTA CLARA, CA – The Seattle Seahawks used a suffocating defense to defeat the San Francisco 49ers on Thanksgiving night and get a leg up in the race for a playoff spot.
Richard Sherman picked off two Colin Kaepernick passes and Seattle held San Francisco to just 164 yards of total offense.
The Seahawks controlled the ball with 35:19 of possession to just 24:41 for the 49ers. Russell Wilson was 15 of 22 for 236 yards and a touchdown and Marshawn Lynch carried the load on the ground with 20 carries for 104 yards.
