This week’s AutoZone “In the Zone” College Basketball Player of the Week is Jerian Grant.
Westwood One NCAA Basketball host Jason Horowitz filed this report:
“It might’ve been a few days before St. Patrick’s Day, but luck was not needed for the Irish in Greensboro this past weekend as Notre Dame went to the ACC Tournament and beat Duke and North Carolina in their own back yard. It’s the first conference tournament title for Notre Dame since they went from being an independent to a member of the Big East 20 years ago – and senior guard Jerian Grant was one huge reason why they got it done. Grant averaged nearly 17 points a game in Notre Dame’s run and saved his best for the championship game against UNC, scoring 24 and dishing out 10 assists. Any time you can beat the Blue Devils and the Tar Heels on back-to-back nights, you’re worthy of an award — and Jerian Grant now has three: the ACC championship trophy, the tournament’s Most Valuable Player and our Player of the Week.”
Jerian Grant was definitely “In the Zone” and he’s our AutoZone College Basketball Player of the Week.
