SEATTLE, WA – Gonzaga looked ready to return to the deep rounds of the tournament in their 86-76 win against North Dakota State on Friday night. The Bulldogs, No. 2 seeds in this year’s tournament, have struggled in recent years to repeat the runs that made them a household name, but found little to trouble them from the Bison, taking a 13-point lead into halftime and never looking back.
Kyle Wiltjer led all scorers with 23 points for Gonzaga, with North Dakota State’s Dexter Werner had 22 in the losing effort.
With the win, Gonzaga advances to face Iowa on Sunday for a shot at the Sweet 16.
Kevin Calabro and P.J. Carlesimo called the action on Westwood One Sports.
