SYRACUSE, NY – He doesn’t lead the team in points, assists, rebounds or blocks, but as Montrezl Harrell goes, so do the Louisville Cardinals. The junior guard has already declared for the NBA draft, but don’t think that means he’s not motivated to get his team back into the Final Four for the third time in the last four years.
He averages almost a double-double per game, scoring 15.7 points and 9. 2 rebounds per contest. But he’ll be facing a stout Michigan State defense on Sunday night when he tries to extend his college career for at least one more game.
Ian Eagle caught up with Montrezl ahead of the game to talk about what he’s learned from head coach Rick Pitino and how he’s improved as a player.
