LAS VEGAS – The last time Gonzaga and BYU squared off, the Cougars ended the Bulldogs’ long home-court winning streak. Gonzaga didn’t let BYU break another streak, winning a third consecutive West Coast Conference Tournament championship with a 91-75 victory on Tuesday night.
It was just a little over a week ago when the Cougars went to Spokane and ended the Zags’ 41-game run at McCarthey Athletic Center.
On Tuesday night at Orleans Arena in Vegas, Gonzaga had six players in double figures, including Kyle Wiltjer, who led the way with 18 points.
Gonzaga has now won the WCC Tournament a record 14 times.
Kevin Calabro and Bill Frieder called the action on Westwood One Sports.
